Often it’s not that big a deal, more annoying than anything else, but other times it can spell disaster. Especially if your dog or a toddler decides it would be fun to yank the plug to your computer out of the wall while you’re in the middle of an important project. There is now a device on the market specifically designed to prevent that little problem. It’s a good thing they’re affordable (just over $5.00 US each), because the Loc-In Locking Outlet Plug permanently attaches to whatever power cord you want to use it on. Once it’s attached, you can either use it like you would any other plug or flip the switch on the side to make it impossible to unplug the cord without causing serious damage. It can be used on either two- or three-prong cords. The switch on the side makes a small hook flip up to attach inside the outlet, and it won’t release until you use the push button on the side to make it let go.
