LG’s Mobile Takes a Hit, HDTVs Turn a Profit, New Flagship Phone Coming Dylan Duarte January 27, 2014 Thanks to better-than-average HDTV sales, LG has doubled its profits in the last year. From October to December 2013 – while LG saw a net loss of $59 million for the quarter, its line of HDTVs pulled in $220 million – doubling the profit from its TV range. Unfortunately the company’s mobile presence went from pulling in a profit to an overall loss in just a year, losing $40 million in Q4 2013. Part of the blame is being placed on overly-aggressive marketing and the costs involved. Thankfully that isn’t stopping LG from announcing a new G Pro model, the G Pro 2, which should see in February around the time Mobile World Congress 2014 kicks off. The company hasn’t released any details about the phone yet, but with MWC right around the corner expect details to start leaking soon. via Engadget Share This With The World!
