LEGO and Star Wars Team Up For the Coolest Chess Set Ever Beth Snyder August 6, 2012 For a while there, every time I looked online I found something LEGO to drool over. But it’s been a while, and I’d kind of given up on writing about something LEGO again. Turns out I was wrong, and I couldn’t be happier about it. Granted, my brain is not wired to play chess. Countless friends and relatives have tried to explain it to me, but they may as well have been speaking Sanskrit for all I understood. But this… this I would definitely put in my house, right out there in the middle of the living room so everyone who came over could be jealous. I’m like that. This board is not commercially available, but is the third installment in a project by Brandon Griffith, a member of LUGOLA (LEGO Users Group of Los Angeles). Each of his boards commemorates one of the three original Star Wars movies in LEGO. At this point, I am trying to figure out how on earth I managed to miss the first two, but I’m going to seek them out immediately. Really, that’s all this is.
