Keep An Eye On Your Stuff With Logitech’s iPad Alert App Beth Snyder April 18, 2011 Whatever your reason for wanting to know what’s going on around your house when you’re not home, this should make you rest easier. Whether you’re afraid of break-ins or your teenager just got a new boyfriend/girlfriend, you can now play Big Brother from wherever you are. To be honest, it makes me feel a little creepy, but I can see the use for some people. The app itself is free, but you’re going to have to shell out some money for the Logitech Alert security system (starting at $300.00 US). If you want to also be able to record the video feed, that will run you an additional $79.99. The complete system will be able to stream 720p HD video including sound. Two other Logitech services, Alert Web and Mobile Commander, will allow you to view previously recorded footage. I think I would recommend the extra cost for recording, or you’ll end up the most non-productive person at work sitting there constantly watching your house.
