iPhone 6 Models Might Get Names Instead of Just Numbers Dylan Duarte September 2, 2014 Next week is Apple’s media event where we’ll likely see the debut of the two new iPhone 6 models. As usual, as that day gets closer we’re going to see plenty of news and rumors popping up, though we won’t liekly know what’s real and what’s fake until the actual event. Chinese publication Sina Tech published a few details about the upcoming phones, among them names for the two different models. According to the magazine, the 4.7-inch model will be called the iPhone Air while the 5.5-inch model will be called the iPhone Pro. iPhones have always been identified by their numbers, not actual model names, so if these prove to be true it’ll be a first for the company. There will supposedly be 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB versions, but the magazine doesn’t mention a 128GB iPhone 6 model, which many were hoping for. The 4.7-inch model will start at $860 while the 5.5-inch starts at $1,022. The magazine also claims – which falls in line with an earlier rumor – that Apple will be debuting an 8GB iPhone 5S model as an entry-level budget phone. The event is scheduled for September 9, exactly a week away, so we won’t have to wait long to find out if these iPhone 6 rumors are true. via iPhone in Canada Share This With The World!
