iPad Workers Still Scarred After Last Year’s Explosion Dylan Duarte March 13, 2012 Extras In December of last year, an explosion at one of the factories at Pegatron Corp, one of Apple’s part suppliers, killed four workers and injured over fifty – sending almost two dozen to the hospital with burns. Three months later, many of the workers are still horribly scarred. In an interview with NPR, one of the workers, a 24-year-old, was described as having the upper half of his face badly burned, making him look like he’s wearing a bright red mask. He worries that it’ll make it harder for him to find a wife. This incident and the aftermath is just another sad chapter in the ongoing saga of poor overseas working conditions. These poor employees are just trying to make a living making iPad casing and now they might be disfigured for the rest of their lives. via Gizmodo Share This With The World!
