lily

Where were you when the drones started guiding themselves? Me? Well I was writing up a post about a new drone that guides itself. It’s called Lily, and it will fly after you and film you all on its own, saving you from having to learn how to control one of the damn things.

The way Lily works is she’s (I’m calling it a she, deal with it) bound to a tracking device that you wear on your wrist and that tells her where you are so that she knows where to film. She knows where you are. There’s no escaping her.

Lily can film at a resolution of 1080p with 60 fps or 720p with 120 fps. Her field of view is 94 degrees, she records in the .mp4 file format, and her photo resolution is 12MP. She’s also waterproof and can land in the water, so if you thought you could get away by submerging yourself, she’ll just wait for you to surface, not unlike a swarm of bees.

Check out the video below to see exactly why you should be terrified of Lily. She’ll begin shipping in early 2016 for a MSRP of $1000, but you can pre-order her at her official website for $499. Just remember, when they finally take over, you have nobody to blame but yourself.
