Have you ever been at a party and wished there were more speakers? Sometimes it’s a matter of not having more speakers to place, but more often it’s because there isn’t a good way to run the cables to make them work. This is a pretty neat way of solving both problems, as long as you’ve got a powered light socket available to use.

The transmitter docks with any iPod type device with a 30-pin connector and it can send the audio signal wirelessly up to 50 feet. It measures 3 1/2″ L x 3 1/2″ W x 1/2″ H. The speaker itself is 10 watts, is 3 1/2″ Diam. x 6″ H, and includes LED lights that give off light similar to a 60 watt bulb. It also includes a remote, with which you can play/pause and also dim the light to 50%. The transmitter has an auxiliary port so you can connect other audio devices, and it will support a total of eight speakers (two are included).

It is supposed to be ready to ship on April 11, 2011, for a price of $299.95 US.
