Grush: The Gaming Toothbrush for Kids

If you have kids, you are familiar with the daily battle to get them to brush their teeth. It’s not that you haven’t explained to them why it needs to be done, and it’s not that they don’t know how; it’s that they just won’t do it. I don’t know why, but it’s been the same since the invention of the toothbrush and I don’t see it changing any time soon.

Or will it? Introducing Grush (short for Gaming Toothbrush). Grush combines brushing teeth with playing video games, making teeth-brushing fun for your kids at the same time it teaches them to be diligent about brushing both in how much of their mouths they cover and how long they spend doing it. You even get an app for yourself that will help track which of your children brushed and how well they did. This should bring an end to those nightly teeth inspections that are hard on both children and parents.

Grush is currently seeking funding on Indiegogo, with a funding window that closes on May 18th. A pledge of at least $69.00 US will get you a Grush brush, two replacement heads, two games, and an unlimited subscription to the Grush Cloud.

Grush Games support most Android and iOS smartphones. Kids can borrow their parent’s smartphone when they are brushing. Alternatively parents can reuse a retired smartphone as a dedicated device for Grush. You can ‘Go Grush and Go Green’ by reusing your retired smartphone.
