Call me crazy, but my favorite price to pay is zero. Everyone likes free stuff and there’s no faster way to whip a deal-savvy consumer into a frenzy than by telling them about a free and limited offer. If you head over to the Google Play Store and head over to the family section of the apps, you can find the “Free App of the Week.”

The current free app is a kids game called Daniel Tiger Grr-ific Feelings, which probably won’t be very appealing to anyone reading this, but the appearance of such a deal is worth noting. Google’s never done a promotion like this. An app is either free or its not, and that’s set by the developer. Google has never allowed an app to go from paid to free and then back again. This particular deal works by applying a coupon code at checkout, so the app is still premium, technically.

It’s weird that the free app was buried in the family section and there’s no way of knowing where the next offer will pop up, so hopefully we’ll either get some information soon or another savvy eye will spot the new deal.
