Google Maps Adds Panoramic Street View to Antarctica Dylan Duarte July 18, 2012 Extras While it might not be easy to move to Antarctica, it just got a lot easier to explore the icy southern continent now that Google has added a collection 360-panoramic images to street view for your perusing pleasure. Obviously there are no streets in Antarctica, but there are some cool destinations like the South Pole Telescope and Cape Royds Adelie Penguin Rookery, both of which are available for viewing along with plenty of other spots. Google first added street view images of Antarctica a couple years ago, but the selection was incredibly limited, whereas you can now view dozens of sites. This is a very cool improvement to an already amazing service. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go back to searching for The Thing From Another World. via Slash Gear Share This With The World!
