Galaxy S7’s Battery Life Not As Good As Promised Dylan Duarte March 8, 2016 Extras The Galaxy S6 was taken to task for its lackluster battery life, something Samsung promised to fix with the Galaxy S7. One of the most lauded features of the new S7 phones (if not the most lost lauded) was the battery life, which was said to be much-improved over its predecessor’s shortcomings, with representatives of Samsung going so far as to say you could watch a whole season of Game of Thrones on a single charge. Now that the Galaxy S7 is available in certain areas, the battery life (and Samsung’s claims) have been put to the test. Unsurprisingly, they exaggerated quite a bit. What is surprising, however, is that the Galaxy S7 actually fared worse than the Galaxy S6. The Galaxy S7 Edge surpassed its predecessor, but just barely. The comparisons that were put together were based on the Snapdragon 820 models, so it’s possible that the ones with the Exynos 8890 processors will do better, but those phones will only be released outside the States.
