It looks like everyone is doing the dual camera configuration on their smartphones these days. It’s the hip new trend for some rather inexplicable reason. And so, it really shouldn’t surprise anyone that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 will be rocking a couple of lenses out the back too.

We already saw the Leica relationship pan out with the dual lens Huawei P9. We’ve already switched between a regular view and a wide angle view with the LG G5. And later this year, we intend on fawning over the iPhone 7 Plus and its dual cameras. Samsung doesn’t want to be left out.

Take these reports with a healthy dose of salt, but they are pointing toward a Galaxy S8 with dual cameras on the back. The rumors are also pointing toward a 5.5-inch 4K UHD display (3840 x 2160), which would be a sizable jump from the 2K display (2560 x 1440 pixels) on the current Galaxy S7 series. How that will impact battery life and whether it will really be full time 4K remain to be seen (no pun intended). Going 4K should be excellent for VR though.

What has you most excited about the Galaxy S8? The dual cameras? The 4K SUPER AMOLED screen? The Snapdragon 830?
