COMPUTEX 2011 – Patriot LX Pro SDHC Pushes 20MB/s Michael Kwan June 5, 2011 As consumer (and prosumer) devices continue to push the limit, so do the necessary accessories that go along with them. Remember when having a class 4 SD card was perfectly adequate? If you’re rocking high quality HD video and audio on a camcorder, you’ll want something faster. And it looks like Patriot has you covered. For my Olympus E-PL1, I’m currently using a couple of Patriot LX Series Class 10 SDHC cards. Those offer a speed of about 10MB/sec. Going even faster is the newly announced Patriot LX Pro series. It’s still a Class 10 card, but it “obliterates current SDHC Class 10 performance classification” with a transfer speed of up to 20MB/sec. Yeah, that’s pretty pro. You can expect the Patriot LX Pro SHDC cards to ship in 16GB and 32GB flavors soon.
