Can’t Stand the Heat? Get an Air Conditioned Shirt! Beth Snyder August 30, 2011 If you spend any amount of time working outside in the summer, or inside a factory or somewhere else with high temperatures year-round, or simply live where it’s hot, this is for you. While not actually technically air conditioning, this shirt does cool you down and keep you cooled, something to which you really can’t attach a price. Although it has one. The Kuchofuku Air-Conditioned Cooling Work Shirt comes in four sizes (small, medium, large and extra large), dark gray colour only, and the fans and controller are removable for laundering. It comes with two fans and a control box which attach to the back of the shirt, and it’s capable of moving about 20 liters of air per second on high speed or about 12 liters per second on low speed. You will have to provide two AA batteries to make it work. If you’re into fashion, this is probably not for you. To me, it looks like a cross between a 1970-something jacket and a gas station pump jockey’s shirt. But if you’re working, who cares about fashion, right? It’s made of polyester and comes in short sleeve only. It does have several pockets, so that adds even more to its functionality. Coolness (temperature-wise…sorry, I just think this thing is ugly) doesn’t come cheap, though. If you want one of these, you’re going to have to shell out $186.00 US.
