Best Buy’s College Innovator Fund Looking for Ideas Dylan Duarte July 17, 2012 Extras Electronics retailer Best Buy doesn’t just want your money. They also want your ideas on new products or services that could change the way people interact with each other… and they’re willing to pay you for them. The company is rolling out the College Innovator Fund, where people can submit their ideas for a chance to win a cash prize. They’re specifically looking for ideas that focus on technology, sustainability, and education. Your product doesn’t have to be complete, but your idea does. Creative hopefuls can go to the College Innovator Fund Facebook page and record a short video explaining their idea. After a few selection rounds, four winners will be decided with the first place entrant getting $50,000, the two runners-up will get $20,000, and the fan favorite will get $10,000. Having a fan favorite placement seems risky. Expect something involving cats. The contest is aimed at college students, but I’m not entirely sure how they enforce that. If you have what you think may be a winning idea, go get yourself some cash while making the world a better place. via Tech Cruch Share This With The World!
