It’s been a while since Apple used WWDC to launch a new product, but this year’s conference could see the Cupertino-based company unveil several new laptops, including an update to the MacBook Air.

Reports say that the MacBook pro will get improved 7th-generation Core processors, and the 12-inch MacBooks will be getting faster Intel chips. The MacBook Air is still seeing strong sales, so Apple is considering giving that a shot in the arm with a new processor, likely Core i5 and Core i7 devices.

There have been rumors floating around that Mac development is taking a backseat at Apple, even though senior management have said that Macs are still very important to the company. These upgrades to their existing Mac lineup, if they do come to fruition, could be their way of shutting those rumors down. We’ll find out for sure next month when WWDC 2017 takes place.
