Apple Adds More Bloatware with iOS 9 Dylan Duarte June 9, 2015 News Now that developers are getting their hands on the preview of iOS 9, we’re learning more about it, and it looks like Apple added two more apps that can’t be uninstalled. Bloatware has been par for the course for most (if not all) mobile operating systems, but that doesn’t mean it’s not annoying. The two apps are Find My Friends and Find My iPhone, which join the unremovable Apple Watch, Tips, Podcasts, and iBooks apps that were added in iOS 8. As Mashable points out, including Find My iPhone makes sense because even if you don’t use it, it will still be there for law enforcement if your phone gets stolen. But Find My Friends? That’s a feature a lot of people aren’t comfortable using and now you’re going to have it stuck on your phone. Fortunately, iOS 9 will also let you hide apps that you can’t uninstall, so at least you won’t have to look at them. Still, they’re going to be there, taking up space. It’s time to make mandatory bloatware a thing of the past. Share This With The World!
