As you may or may not know, I am something of a cook. Certainly not a chef, but definitely a cook. Also, I bake. However, there are three things that will send me running to the store for a premade version faster than you can say “she doesn’t know how to make that”: pie crust, anything with yeast…and angel food cake. I don’t know what it is about the stupid things, but I am incapable of making one. Mine either come out hard as a rock or so crumbly you have to eat them with a spoon. So, in celebration of today’s holiday, I’m going to the store to purchase an angel food cake. Because I really do love them, they just can’t come from my kitchen.
