Alexa Mobile Accessory Kit Gives OEMs Easy Alexa Integration Dylan Duarte January 5, 2018 News The Amazon Echo line of devices has been something of a runaway success, so digital assistant Alexa has made her way into millions of homes around the world. Device makers understandably want a piece of that pie, and since it’s a win-win for both OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) and Amazon, the latter has made it much easier for the former to incorporate Alexa into their mobile devices with the Alexa Mobile Accessory Kit. With the kit, Amazon has already done the majority of the coding required to make devices work with the Alexa Voice Service. Bluetooth-enabled devices can connect directly to the AVS through the Amazon Alexa App, which gives them access to all the features Alexa offers, like smart home capabilities, calendar management, weather updates, and so much more. The Alexa Mobile Accessory Kit will be available to device makers later this year. The new kit, coupled with last year’s AVS Device SDK, really helps propel Alexa even further to the front of the digital assitant game. Share This With The World!3 3Shares
