A Recipe For Making Instant Boiling Ice

An apparatus able to generate pressures of over 70,000 atmospheres was used at Sandia National Laboratories to compress water into ice in an instant. However, the commercial applications will be limited, as the solid water generated is hotter than the boiling point of this natural element. Cocktail bars and household kitchens will still have to rely on the good old conventional ice machines.
