80’s Flashback: Rubik’s Cube Speakers! Beth Snyder March 8, 2011 What more could a child of the 80s want for their home stereo system? My current desktop speakers are starting to crackle entirely too much (I’m sure I’ve done horrible things to their wires over time), so I’m in the market for new ones. This may well be what I end up getting. The only way these could be better is if you could actually use them as Rubik’s Cubes. Of course, that would probably do something bad to the wiring, but it would be really neat. As it is, hopefully anyone who thinks you have random Rubik’s Cubes on your desk will notice the wires and refrain from twisting. I couldn’t find a measurement on them anywhere, but they are described as “compact” and “small,” so they might even take up less room than the speakers you have. From the picture, it would seem each square is only slightly larger than a USB connector. They’re powered via USB (cable included) and can connect to any MP3 device via a standard audio cable (also included). Of course, you certainly can connect to the audio collection on your computer as well. Now for the disappointing part…they’re out of stock. But when they are available again, they’re only £19.99 a pair. Source: Walyou Share This With The World!
