It never rains, but it pours. That’s how the saying goes, and I think I’ve finally figured it out. There are months when I’m scraping to get by even with unemployment, and then there are months like this one where I couldn’t buy a day off if I wanted to. I hate to complain about working, especially when the world is in the situation it’s in, but at the same time I have this dream occasionally where I see my house in daylight and maybe have time to do some laundry or cook some dinner. It’s weird how the little things get taken for granted (and often become a chore) until you don’t have time to do them any more.
