Virtual market analyst Screen Digest has released a report stating that, as millions are taking refuge in the entertaining virtual online worlds — the famous Massively Multiplayer Online Games (MMOGs) — the market in North America and Europe is now worth an amazing $1,000,000,000. Games like World Of Warcraft or virtual places like Habbo Hotel are becoming increasingly popular, and the range of these MMOGs has seen a vast diversification in the last few years with the apparition of new genres. Revenues generated by subscriptions to these MMOGs are expected to rise regularly, and reach $1.5bn by 2011.
