Thecus Announces iSCSI NAS Series - i4500R and i5500

Thecus unveils a new series of network attached storage servers powered by Intel® Xscale CPUs. The i4500R and i5500 both come with and 512MB of DDR memory and over 100MB/s for read and write under RAID 6. The i4500R is a 1U rackmount solution with up to four hot-swappable SATA drive bays while the i550 gives us five bays. Both units support drives up to 1TB in size.

Both units feature RAID 0, 1, 0+1, 3, 5, 6, 10, and JBOD allowing customization for your user environment. A dedicated hardware controller cuts down on RAID build times significantly.
