The REAL Origami UMPC – Samsung SPH-P9000

When the first Ultra Mobile PC’s (UMPC) hit the market from Samsung, it was criticized for being rather clunky, and having very poor battery life. In other words, it was pretty much impractical. Having the name Origami associated with it, one would imagine that it would be ultra thin and fold up. It wasn’t either. It looks like we finally get what we wanted…

Samsung UMPC - The REAL Origami.

Preliminary specs include:

  • A 5-inch, roughly 800×480 display
  • CDMA EV-DO
  • Mobile WiMax (WiBro in South Korea)
  • Windows XP
  • Bluetooth
  • 1.3 Megapixel camera on the display

Now this thing is TRULY Origami. It’s like the transformer of all mobile PC’s. For more pictures, visit our friends at SlashGear. For more preliminary specs, Gizmodo has a bunch.
