Today is a good day to get drunk. First thing this morning, I found out the lab hadn’t bothered to actually process the blood samples they took on Monday, and the hospital requires the EKG my regular doctor said I didn’t need. And then the kicker: my podiatrist has decided, after two weeks of appointments and endless paperwork, that because of my medical history he is not comfortable doing the surgery. So even though the operating room is booked, I have been pre-registered, and surgery was scheduled for around noon on Friday…canceled. All of it. And he won’t be my podiatrist any more. See? Good day to get drunk.
