There’s a song by my favourite artist titled “I Have a Good Day”. In the chorus, it talks about having a good day every now and then, and counting blessings on one hand. The last few days, I am meeting that goal and then some, and it feels amazing. Everything is by no means perfect, but I’m finally starting to catch a glimpse of a light at the end of the tunnel and am actually fairly confident it isn’t a train. A friend once asked me how it is that so many things can go so wrong for so long and I can still find something to make me smile. Here’s my theory: You can either find something to laugh about, or you can shoot yourself in the head. Because really…what else is there? That was hard to remember in the not so distant past, but now things are looking up again, and I’m daring to hope again. It’s a little scary, but I like it.
