The best that can be said is that it’s been over a year since I’ve had surgery, which was a goal. But, the podiatrist is fast-tracking me for surgery on my foot, in hopes we can get it fixed and me working again before we get busy again in the fall. He’s hoping he can just go in and clean in up, but it might involve a joint replacement. Which makes me giggle a lot. Who knew you could get a joint in your toe replaced? Anyway, tomorrow I have a pre-surgical consultation with him, and then if the hospital agrees to play along I’ll be having surgery (which will be outpatient, thank goodness) next week Friday. See what I mean? Fast tracked.
