Do you ever do this? Someone tells you something that you need to know, but they tell you so far in advance that by the time it’s actually coming up you’ve completely forgotten about it? I did that this weekend, with a good friend. I’ve known since this summer he was driving to Arizona this week for a family Thanksgiving, yet I completely forgot about it when I asked him if he could do me a favour on Monday. Turns out he left yesterday morning…just like he told me he was going to. I apologized, but he seemed less than pleased that I was bothering him, so now I feel bad. Perhaps dinner when he gets back will make it up to him.
