Happy weekend! Turns out I’m working this afternoon, but not for very long. And then a friend is having a backyard bonfire, so I’ll most likely head over there for a while as I haven’t seen him or the associated people I know through him for quite some time. And then tomorrow I should actually have a day off, which means maybe I can actually USE the new oven that was installed yesterday while I was at work! It’s been so long since I’ve had a working broiler I’m not even sure where to start. Of course, there’s a definite learning curve with a new one, so I’m going to have to experiment a great deal so I have its quirks learned before my holiday baking extravaganza. Which means my friends will probably win with a few dinners and plates of baked goods over the coming weeks!
