You know what’s the coolest thing about being as old as I am and doing what I do for a living? The bands I fell in love with in high school and still really enjoy listening to are now on the downside of popularity. Which means they are playing the smaller venues where I work most often. Today, although it is in the mid-90′s outside with pretty high humidity and we’re working outside, I’ve been floating through my day. Because it’s one of those days where I band I loved is in town. This is the thing I cannot explain to my mother about choosing the career I have…it’s that heart-happy kind of giddiness you just don’t get at a “real” job as a rule.
