Today, my mother turns 76. It rarely occurs to me that she’s so old, and how incredibly well she is doing for being as old as she is. She still has all her own teeth. She only needs her glasses to read. She can drive (although not so well in the dark any more). She still keeps up the flower beds around the house. As much as I whine about her (and there’s a lot of that…we live together, you’ll have that), I do truly love that woman. And I absolutely cannot imagine what I would do without her. So…Happy Birthday, Mom!
