Today is apparently Fruitcake Day. I’m sure that’s intended to be those nasty supposedly edible things people you hate give as presents for the holidays, but I’m going in another direction. Right now I’m listening to Jimmy Buffett’s Fruitcakes album, and loving it. I’ve always been a fan, but it’s going especially well since we’re getting our first fairly serious snowfall of the year right now. It might be winter outside, but in my house we’re down on the islands sipping rum punch with our toes in the sand.
