Did you know that Grand Rapids, Michigan was the first US city to put fluoride in its public drinking water supply? Yep, it’s true. Now it’s commonplace, but on this day in 1945, it was the first one. Of course, this has lead to much debate over whether it’s a good thing or not, but dental health has improved greatly since then. Of course, fluoride can be dangerous, even deadly, if you consume too much of it. So I’ll leave it up to you whether you choose to drink your tap water or use some kind of fancy filter or switch over to bottled water. I just thought it was a neat piece of trivia.
