If I didn’t know better, I’d say I’m nesting. But since I have no reason to be doing such a silly thing, I’m just going to assume it’s comforting for me to be able to make things around my house the way I want them right now. Today I went out early so I could beat the birds to another batch of ripe raspberries, and finally got enough to make a pie. So I came in and made that, and it’s now cooling in the refrigerator. Then I decided I wanted some grape salad, but I wasn’t happy with the dressing I used last time, so I tweaked it and it is amazing! All of that required washing dishes, so those are done. Then I decided I was going to create a beef stir-fry recipe for dinner. And now as soon as I get this post done it’s off to clean the bathroom and kitchen, and if I really feel motivated, I’ll clean the living room and my office. Tonight, maybe some rearranging of furniture and redecorating, unless I run out of steam. I love having Saturday off.
