I Love When a Plan Comes Together

My house is currently empty of everyone but me and the cat, and by the time anyone gets back I will have gone for the evening. It’s taking more time than I care to think about on the bus, but it beats paying more than $30.00 for a cab. It’s absurd that at my age I am this excited about leaving the house, but this is my life.

Last Mango in Paris

I’ve been listening to Jimmy Buffett all day, and I can’t get that song out of my head. Therefore, it is the seemingly completely irrelevant title of this post. However, if you’re a fellow Parrothead, you’ll get it. Have a great weekend regardless!

National Hot Dog Day

In the US, it is officially the day to celebrate those staples of ballparks and other sporting events everywhere…hot dogs. Why we’ve made this a “holiday” is beyond me, but it was too weird not to mention it. Have a hot dog today and celebrate!

One More Day

My doctor’s appointment isn’t until tomorrow, so I have one more day of pain medication to get through. I tried going without this afternoon and it wasn’t pretty, so we’re all stuck with me being stupid but pain-free for a while yet. Sorry!

Learning New Things is Hard

My whole life, I’ve heard that as you get older it becomes harder to learn to do things a different way from how you have been, and I’ve always just laughed and thought it’s because old people are set in their ways and aren’t open to new things. Now I am apparently an old person, because I’ve been sitting here for quite some time trying to do a new style of posting and failing miserably. I hate admitting defeat, so I’ll have to work on it some more, and we’ll all have to deal with what I’ve been doing until I get it.
