It’s the Little Things

So shortly before my desktop died, my ancient Logitech mouse died (and I do mean ancient…it still had a ball). Not feeling like going to the store, I started using my Logitech wireless mouse (also with a ball) that went with my laptop. Then that died. So I bought a Microsoft optical laptop mouse…but mom can’t quite figure out that simply unplugging the transmitter from the laptop doesn’t turn it off, so we were going through batteries at the speed of light. Tuesday I bought a Logitech WIRED laser mouse, and now we’re cooking with gas. It doesn’t take much to make me happy, really…just a $17 mouse.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

What’s left of it, anyway. To those of you celebrating in the American manner…have a great time, but remember taxis are your friend! To those of you celebrating in another manner…have a great time! For those of you who, like myself, have discovered that you have gotten entirely too old to deal with a bunch of drunken idiots and so are staying home after having a nice dinner with family…there are worse things!

Happy St. Patricks Day! tranquillo

Holy Shopping Day, Batman!

Wow. We went everywhere today! And actually accomplished some good things. Umbrella strollers, shoes, spring jackets, umbrellas, and a couple of new bags for the kids for vacation, and I got a couple of new pairs of pants and a new mouse among other things. Plus between last night and tonight we’ve got our tickets booked for the aquarium and museum, as well as afternoon tea at the American Girl cafe. Yes, in case you were wondering, I have completely lost my mind. I’m going on vacation with my niece and her family to Chicago for four days. Three adults and three children, the oldest of whom is four, and me on crutches. It’ll be an adventure!

Connected Again

An improvement to my usual disappearance is that I now can be out of town and still post! The family members I keep visiting have not only gotten an internet connection, but recently also added a wireless router. So while my post times may be erratic due to their schedules, at least you’ll get reviews while I’m here.

Monday Blahs

I don’t know what it is today, but I have absolutely no energy and am interested in doing nothing but watching TV. If you know me, you know how weird that is. But I figured I’d best haul myself off the couch and get the first post of the day done since I’m running really late.
