Nothing To Say

It happens sometimes. I sit here staring at a blank screen for several minutes and nothing leaps to mind. So…reviews. I’ll try to make this one a touch longer than normal, since if I get to a second post it will be very late. New equipment at work makes for much longer hours to program it.

If It Works For You, I’m Jealous

But in my considered opinion, after spending 3 1/2 hours on it (including 1 1/2 hours on the phone with their support agent), TurboTax is crap. Oh, I’m sure it’s fine if you only have to fill out the EZ form, but if you have any complication whatsoever you’re up the proverbial creek without the proverbial paddle. And if all you have to fill out is the EZ form, why on earth would you pay for software when you can pick up the forms for free at the post office? I won’t go into it, but let it suffice to say if a GPS was as easy to follow as their software, I would end up in Saskatchewan when I was trying to go to Brazil.

Finally Scheduled!

I was beginning to think we’d be celebrating another milennium before my workers’ comp. hearing got scheduled, but much to my amazement the letter came today. It’s going to be near the end of March. Not bad, altogether, considering it will be exactly four months and 14 days since I got hurt. With any luck at all the mediator will see how silly it is that they denied my claim and I’ll be getting my knee fixed. I’m not holding my breath, but I am holding on to hope.

I Think It’s Monday

I have absolutely no sense of time any more. My life consists of waking up, eating some soup and taking some more cough syrup with codeine, and sleeping again. Repeat every 4-6 hours. At least I got sick when there isn’t any work I can do…just have to get over this before Friday.

Superbowl Sunday

Don’t ask me why I dislike Indiana so much, I just do. I’m sure it’s a perfectly lovely place, and what I’ve seen of Indianapolis while driving through it on I-65 it seems like a decent enough city. But…I’ve got to go Saints on this one…I like the Gulf coast much better. In fact, whenever I drive through Indiana that’s where I’m heading. So, may the best team win. As long as it’s New Orleans.
