Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

What’s left of it, anyway. To those of you celebrating in the American manner…have a great time, but remember taxis are your friend! To those of you celebrating in another manner…have a great time! For those of you who, like myself, have discovered that you have gotten entirely too old to deal with a bunch of drunken idiots and so are staying home after having a nice dinner with family…there are worse things!

Happy St. Patricks Day! tranquillo

Did My Job Too Well

Don’t you hate when you do that? The show was interesting the first couple of times, but then I got sick of having to pay attention and wrote a little program to loop the graphics I need to run instead of having to do them manually. Which is great, but now I’m bored. Never happy, huh? But at least I have work! On the whole, I have to say this one goes in the “win” column. There are worse things to have to watch for the weekend…for instance, I could’ve been stuck with basketball!

My Printer Is Possessed

That is the only logical explanation left. All of a sudden, it has decided that each sheet of paper is approximately six sheets thick, thus it grabs that many to print. Of course, that many won’t go through the machine, so it jams. But if I have only one sheet in the tray to try to trick it, it won’t take it in at all, and still tells me I have a paper jam. Might be time to retire it, although being me I’m going to try to fix it until it is broken so horribly beyond recognition that giving it a decent burial would be the only humane thing.

Nothing To Say

It happens sometimes. I sit here staring at a blank screen for several minutes and nothing leaps to mind. So…reviews. I’ll try to make this one a touch longer than normal, since if I get to a second post it will be very late. New equipment at work makes for much longer hours to program it.

That Was Amazing!

Congratulations, Canada! I thought you had us for a while there, and it turns out you finally did. But in the mean time, I have decided if someone wants to do a medical study where they hook up hockey fans to an EKG, they might learn a LOT! Great game, and we’ll see you next time.
