Taxes DONE!!

Thus ends the process that started with the horrifying attempt to use TurboTax. I ended up going with H&R Block at home online. Easy to use, free federal, $9.95 for my state, free e-filing for both, direct deposit. Best part: 40 minutes start to finish. Refund to hit my account in 8-10 days. I really wish I’d have done it in the first place…would’ve saved me no end of stress. Oh well, had I gotten my refund earlier I would’ve spent it on something silly like paying bills. Now I’ll be using it to go on a mini-vacation with my niece’s family. (And also to pay some bills! Don’t worry, Mom!)

We Started Playing Hockey Again!

In case that doesn’t make sense (I realize I’ve been talking about hockey since the season started), I should point out that the AHL team I work for has been sucking BAD the last month or so. Last night there was actually a real game on the ice! Tons of goals, tons of fights, and we actually WON! Here’s hoping we can do it again tonight.

TGIF

Most of you are probably excited it’s the end of the week, but I’m excited because there are two hockey games this weekend, so I’m finally going to work. Today’s selection is probably going to be a bit longer than normal, and full of repeats. Had some of the items in my inbox been leftovers, I’d have had to throw them out after this many days. I try to give y’all variety in these, but sometimes it can’t be helped.

Going To Be a Great Day!

I slept for a normal amount of time during relatively normal hours, it’s been raining long enough that there are actually places in my yard where I can see grass through the snow for the first time in well over a month, today’s predicted high temperature is 42F, and I’ve got a “date” to watch football playoffs with a very close friend who I’ve not seen in almost a month. I still don’t care who wins the Jets/Colts game, but I guess I’m going with Saints over Vikings.
