Sunlight? Really???

Usually, I get up and after I get the coffee going I come sit at the computer to catch up on what I may have missed in the world, and also to do a post here. Today, I walked in the office and sat down, and was almost immediately blinded! Normally, my first reaction would be to close the blinds and block it out, but I’m happily squinting against the glare. When you live where I do, actual sunlight that shows up any time between November and March is a rare commodity, to be treasured and sought out at every opportunity.

I’m Going To Miss You, Felix

Not your standard review post here…sorry, you’ll just have to bear with me. My sixteen-year-old cat, Felix, can’t possibly live much longer. I’ve been surprised for the last couple of days that he’s still with me, in fact. Which is why today’s post contains a picture of my boy rather than some neat tech gizmo. If you’ve had cats, or pets of any kind, you get it. If not…I really have nothing, sorry. This is worse than when we lost his brother nine years ago. I’m going to miss him more than I can ever hope to express.

Sunday Is For Football

In my world it is, anyway. Never mind the fact that my team couldn’t win a game against a high school program, we’re still here every week watching and hoping and having our hopes crushed like so many paper beer cups. So be it…it’s the love of the game, not how poorly we play it, that keeps us coming back for more. Either that or we’re all complete gluttons for punishment.
