Did My Job Too Well

Don’t you hate when you do that? The show was interesting the first couple of times, but then I got sick of having to pay attention and wrote a little program to loop the graphics I need to run instead of having to do them manually. Which is great, but now I’m bored. Never happy, huh? But at least I have work! On the whole, I have to say this one goes in the “win” column. There are worse things to have to watch for the weekend…for instance, I could’ve been stuck with basketball!

My Printer Is Possessed

That is the only logical explanation left. All of a sudden, it has decided that each sheet of paper is approximately six sheets thick, thus it grabs that many to print. Of course, that many won’t go through the machine, so it jams. But if I have only one sheet in the tray to try to trick it, it won’t take it in at all, and still tells me I have a paper jam. Might be time to retire it, although being me I’m going to try to fix it until it is broken so horribly beyond recognition that giving it a decent burial would be the only humane thing.

Congratulations, Canada!

It got a little tense there toward the end, but y’all held on for the win. So we’ll be seeing you Sunday, and may the best team win. Tonight, of course, will be Slovakia vs. Finland, and I’m having my usual dilemma about it. Neither team is my country, of course, but both teams contain players I watched grow up through the AHL and who either did play or do play for my NHL team. I’m leaning more toward Finland for various reasons, but I can’t say I’ll be disappointed no matter who walks away with the bronze.

Sorry, Finland

Wow…that was just…wow. If you were watching, you know what I mean. If you were not, you missed a sound thrashing of a team that deserves better than to be beaten that badly. Not that I won’t take the win, mind you, and I do wish them all the luck in the world on Saturday. Now to quick get this evening post done so I can watch Canada take on Slovakia!
