Surprise!
UPS just pulled into the driveway and I’ll be darned if I could remember ordering anything. Turns out I didn’t…someone I know from yet another tech site sent me a video card to replace the ridiculously old one I’ve been on since I put the “new” computer parts together! I’d been running a 32MB (yeah, I know…but my last motherboard had on-board sound and video and it was what I had in the closet). Now I’ve got a 128MB and I can set the resolution to better than 800×600 again AND I have more than 16 colours! No more side-scrolling! I’m calling it a birthday present since I didn’t get anything from anyone else yet today.
