SuperTalent Makes Solid State Drives Even More Affordable

Although they really weren’t affordable to begin with, the folks over at SuperTalent have pushed the category hard and have just dropped the price of entry level SSD’s with the introduction of their MasterDrive LX line up. They plan to kick off this new product line with both a 64GB model and a 128GB model. Both of which will be under $300 when they hit the streets. The 64GB model will start at $179 while the 128GB model will hit at $299 and probably under.

Both drives support SATA-II and speeds of 100 MB/s read and 40 MB/s write in a 2.5 inch casing. They also feature things like Integrated ECC, wear leveling and bad bit management functions to ensure decent longevity and performance.
