As if technology isn’t already “smart” enough, Samsung has unveiled their new Smart Home platform at CES 2014. Smart Home allows Smart TVs, home appliances, and smartphones to be connected and managed through a single system.

Smart Home will also allow you to connect to your devices from anywhere at any time, presumably through your smartphone (give that that’s the device you’ll be carrying around).

Integrating electronics has been on the agenda for years now, so it was really only a matter of time before you could start a load of laundry from your smartphone while waiting for a movie to start; especially with Samsung announcing a new line of digital appliances. Most movie theaters have banned phone calls and texting; now they’ll have to ban people from remotely doing their chores, too.
