Rumor: Foxconn to Make Their Own Smartphone foxconn 500x291

Foxconn, the company who actually does the dirty work building iPhones and iPads, has a reputation for making quality products for a plethora of companies, like Apple, Sony, and more. According to a new rumor, they’re looking to cut out the middle man and start producing their own phones.

It’s far from a crazy idea. Foxconn already has their own stores in China, which sells PCs, motherboards, and other computer components. They’re also looking to expand to Brazil. Adding smartphones to the list of products they sell seems like a logical next step. They’ve already earned a solid reputation from making quality products for other companies, so maybe it’s time for them to cash in on that.

If they did start producing their own products, it’s likely they would only sell in China and other markets where they wouldn’t have a conflict with their partners, so don’t look for Foxconn products in the United States any time soon.
