There are times in which I honestly have very little to say about the subject at hand. This unfortunately is one of those times when a product just lands in the middle and I am not sure what to tell you guys about it. Rosewill once again takes on the role of keeping everybody honest with pricing with the Rosewill R5 Mid-tower gaming case.
It is a computer case with the checklist of features you come to expect for the price point of under $100. In this case, the current retail price for the R5 is $89.99. It comes with three 120 mm fans (supports up to 8), tool-less 5.25" and 3.5" bays, easy access to dust filters via removable covers, USB 3.0 support, built-in fan controller, and the all too common black on black color scheme. While I am underwhelmed here, I can't bring myself to dislike the Rosewill R5.
I find the R5 to be unremarkable but it has all the current features you could want at a good price. It has unique lines for its appearance and built with mostly steel. While there are a number of other case options in the same price range, I see the Rosewill R5 acting as the anchor that keeps everyone's else prices from creeping higher. For thank I thank Rosewill for giving us something we can all go "unless it's better than this in some way, I will buy this."
