It never occurred to me that watering the garden could actually be harming the environment, but it makes sense if you think about it. If it doesn’t rain enough, you simply hook a sprinkler to the hose and turn it on. But that water has to come from somewhere, and if you’re watering the garden it can’t be used anywhere else.
