Official: OnePlus 3T Ups the Ante, Kills OnePlus 3 Michael Kwan November 15, 2016 News What’s that? You really like the OnePlus 3, but you wish there was just a little more to it? Apparently, they’ve heard your cries, because just in time for the holiday season, they’ve unwrapped the upgraded OnePlus 3T. It’s like the OnePlus 3, only T-er. We can’t say for sure, but the timing of this seems oddly appropriate. People are still reeling from having to return their exploding Galaxy Note 7s and they might not be as excited as they want to be about the Google Pixel. With the OnePlus 3T, you get a nice little upgrade at an affordable price. The original OnePlus 3 only launched back in June, but now the company is already discontinuing the phone and replacing it with the OnePlus 3T. Even back then, a version with 6GB of RAM was lurking about and that’s exactly what became this new model. In addition to the boost in RAM from 4GB to 6GB, you get bumped from a Snapdragon 820 to a Snapdragon 821. The 16MP front and rear cameras promise an “unmatched” experience. Another huge nicety is the larger 3,400mAh battery, which can be topped up to “a day’s power” in just half an hour using their proprietary Dash quick charging tech. Pricing starts at $439 US ($599 Canadian) for the 64GB model or you can pay a little more to get 128GB of storage. The phone will start shipping next week on November 22.
